What is an ISARS actually ? does anyone knows ? haaa... here's an explanation for this part...

An information storage and retrieval system (ISRS) is a network with a built-in user interface that facilitates the creation, searching, and modification of stored data. An ISRS is typically a peer-to-peer (P2P) network operated and maintained by private individuals or independent organizations, but accessible to the general public. Some, but not all, ISRSs can be accessed from the Internet. (The largest ISRS in the world is the Internet itself.) 

CCM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia)

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia or SSM) is a statutory body which regulates companies and businesses. SSM, which came into operation on 16 April 2002, is a statutory body formed as a result of a merger between the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and the Registrar of Businesses (ROB) in Malaysia.The main activity of CCM is to serve as an agency to incorporate companies and register businesses as well as to provide company and business information to the public. As the leading authority for the improvement of corporate governance, SSM fulfils its function to ensure compliance with business registration and corporate legislation through comprehensive enforcement and monitoring activities to sustain positive developments in the corporate and business sectors of the Nation. The head quarters of CCM is on Kuala Lumpur  and have a branch around Malaysia.

 SSM is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the following legislation:

                                i.            Companies Act 1965 (Act 125);

                              ii.            Registration of Businesses Act 1956 (Act 197);

                            iii.            Trust Companies Act 1949 (Act 100);

                            iv.            Kootu Funds (Prohibition) Act 1971 (Act 28);

                              v.            Any subsidiary legislation made under the Acts specified above such as:

                            vi.            Companies Regulations 1966; and

                          vii.            Registration of Businesses Rules 1957

In CCM's website there is an ISARS, which is the e-Info System .

Purposes and functions of the IRS

·         To provide search and purchase of company and business information online.

·         To enables stakeholders and members of the public to access and procure corporate information online 24/7.

e- Info is an internet based service to provide search and purchase of company and business information online. Which are the alternatives to "over-the-counter" transactions. Accessible to everybody, with internet connectivity as well as appropriate medium of payment. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by accessing www.ssm.com.my or www.ssm-einfo.my. The Products and services currently available under SSM e-Info Services are as follows:

With the establishment of this e-Info system it has become much easier for people who are looking to get the information right away, 

SSM acts to ensure strong and dynamic growth of the country’s corporate and business sectors. The creation of e-Info, part of SSM’s effort to “electronize” its high demand services and to support the Government’s call for greater service efficiency and higher accessibility, has helped thousands of those who wish to seek information about companies and businesses in Malaysia. With the existence of e-info, the users just go to www.ssm.com.my and purchase the information they need with either Visa or MasterCard at only RM15 per buy and they can even do it with their laptop at home after dinner. As conclusion, the “electronization” of SSM’s information purchase channel was just the beginning of a series of e-improvements to avail its services to the public 24/7, anywhere in the world. With effective enforcement, users will be able to educate the corporate and business sector to comply with existing legislations and enhance good corporate governance.
